What is ‘thermally broken’ aluminium?
From an insulation perspective, a polyamide thermal break is what allows aluminium to be an outstanding window material. The ‘break’ occurs when a plastic sheet is inserted in between the aluminium window’s inner and outer frame. This helps to slow the transfusion of heat, which would normally move freely through a metal such as aluminium.
